A strong basis for pharma approval

Longstanding tradition for establishment and active use of high quality nationwide health data registries

Pharmacoepidemiological studies based on health data registries are increasingly being used to support approval and surveillance of pharmaceuticals. These studies are carried out by private and public researchers bringing essential knowledge about efficacy and safety of medicines to regulatory agencies worldwide, including EMA.

Being the case that Denmark has an unique and longstanding tradition for establishment and active use of high quality nationwide health data registries there is a very strong scientific community in Denmark within the field of register research and pharmacoepidemiology. Danish researchers are used to work professionally with health register data and used to collaborate internationally.
